There is no doubt that the structure
and systems Fitness Together
provides is the primary reason I have
been able to grow so quickly.
With these successes, I decided to
spread my wings and develop the state
of Utah. Within the next 3 years, there
will be at least 20 Fitness Together
locations in the state. If you feel like
your story mirrors mine, or you are a
successful business person looking
for a sound investment, we need to
talk. There are limited protected
territories available and the top
locations are going quickly. Don’t let
your fears hold you back, call me today.

Yours in health and fitness,

Todd Opheim
Utah Area Director

A message from the Area Developer of Utah

Fitness and Business Professionals:

Since beginning my personal training career in late 1996, I have always had the vision of owning my own personal training studio. Within a year and a half of beginning my career, I had formed my own independent contractor business and was very successful in that endeavor, often training in excess of 40 clients per week, and becoming a local expert amongst my peers. However, my income was dependent solely on me being “in the trenches”, and at the end of the day, if I wasn’t training, I wasn’t getting paid. Not to mention, even though I had a successful business, I had no tangible assets that I could someday sell. I knew there had to be a better way, and began to research my options.

I stumbled across Fitness Together in a trade journal, and sent for some FREE information. I was impressed with the literature, and soon scheduled a trip to visit their home offices in Colorado. I continued to be impressed when they showed me around at Discovery Day. I realized quickly that I was indeed a great trainer, but lacked the business skills and structure to successfully open my own studio. Besides, I was paralyzed with fear. Fear of failure, fear of doing it wrong, fear of messing up my already successful business, fear of…you get the message. After visiting the corporate offices, I knew they had what I was looking for, but then I had a new set of fears. I had fear of what my friends and family would think about me joining a franchise versus doing my own thing…after all, I was the expert to them, not Fitness Together. I had fear of not being able to do my own thing, and that the franchise would try to change my “training style”. Needless to say the first step I needed to make was to overcome my fears. Once I did that, the rest is history. My only regret is that I didn’t start the process sooner.

I opened my first Fitness Together studio in February of 2005 in Boise, Idaho, and currently own 3 locations in the Boise area. Two years ago, I was personally training 160 sessions per month. Today, my studios produce nearly 1400 sessions per month (nearly 10 times what I was able to do on my own)!
